The stategy of Chess is to kill your opponent. Slaughter his pieces. All of them. Because he has shamed your family and shat on your family crest. He stole all your slaves and contaminated your rice supply.
Each piece moves in a unique manner for the specific reason of creating multiple opportunities for you to attack the opponent. To be an effective player, you should become familiar with planning a few moves ahead. Relay possible scenarios of events that may unfold and develop a disposition of being either offensive or defensive. Note that being offensive, it is effective to establish several choices for yourself when attacking as to force the opponent to sacrifice peices for the safty of other more important pieces.
It is considerably useful to call names and taunt the other player while he or she is feverishly trying to concentrate. Deprive your opponent of sleep from the night before. Cough loudly and hack at saliva in the depths of your throat.
